The Scottish Football League Third Division was held under this name for the 19th and last time in 2012/13 . It was also the last edition of the Third Division as only the fourth highest Scottish league . For the new season, the league was named Scottish League Two and was still the fourth highest division. In the fourth-highest division of men's football in Scotland , 10 clubs competed against each other in a total of 36 matchdays in the 2012/13 season. Each team played four times against each other. In the event of a tie, the goal difference counted before the direct comparison.
The championship won the Glasgow Rangers , who secured the promotion and participation in the League One 2013/14 season . The Glasgow Rangers had been reintegrated from the Scottish Premier League into the Third Division at the beginning of the season , as they were excluded from the Scottish Premier League and then accepted into the Scottish Football League . According to their statutes, they began like every new member in the Scottish League Two. On the ascent play-offs of taking FC Peterhead , the FC Queen's Park and Berwick Rangers part. The top scorer with 22 goals was Andrew Little of the Glasgow Rangers.
