Sebastian Kowski

Sebastian Kowski (* 1959 in Rostock , Rostock district ) is a German actor and radio play speaker .

Life

Sebastian Kowski completed his acting studies from 1981 to 1985 at the theater school "Hans Otto" in Leipzig .

From 1985 to 1995 he was engaged at the Städtische Bühnen Chemnitz . From 1995 to 2001 he was part of the drama ensemble at the Dresden State Theater . During his engagement there, from 1999 to 2001 he headed the drama studio of the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig at the Dresden State Theater .

From 2001 until the end of the 2012/13 season, Kowski was permanently engaged at the Schauspiel Stuttgart and during this time also taught at the State University for Music and Performing Arts (specializing in drama) in Stuttgart . There he initially worked with the directors Beat Fäh , Erich Sidler , Jacqueline Kornmüller , Volker Lösch (in Sternheim's Aus dem bürgerlichen Heldenleben and Gogol's Der Revisor ) and Hasko Weber (as Lucky in Waiting for Godot ).

At the Schauspiel Stuttgart he also appeared in productions by Sebastian Baumgarten , Nuran David Calis , Thomas Dannemann , Karin Henkel , Stephan Kimmig , Hans-Werner Krösinger , Irmgard Lange , Sebastian Nübling , Stephan Rottkamp and Tobias Wellemeyer . His main roles at the Schauspiel Stuttgart included u. a. Robespierre , Woyzeck , Faust and Capulet .

Since the 2013/14 season he has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar , where he a. a. Mephisto, Nathan , village judges Adam and Oberon played. In addition to roles in current productions, he was a. a. to be seen in the new productions Mutti von Juli Zeh (as Horst), Wallenstein (as Butler) and Der Hofmeister (as Herr von Berg). Kowski took on the title role in Jan Neumann's Ibsen production Baumeister Solness (premiere: 2013/14 season).

In addition to his extensive theater work, Kowski also stood in front of the camera for several film and television productions. He turned u. a. with Bernd Lange , Ingo Rasper , Jeanette Wagner , Gregor Schnitzler , Sönke Wortmann and Uli Edel .

In the first season of the historical television series Charité , he played as medical advisor Tischendorf, the father of one of the main characters, medical student and passionate photographer Georg Tischendorf ( Maximilian Meyer-Bretschneider ). In the 14th season of the ZDF series Notruf Hafenkante , Kowski, at the side of Dagny Dewath , took on one of the main episode roles as the suspicious chairman of a noble, venerable Hamburg club.

Kowski is a regular speaker of reports and documentaries in productions for Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk , Bayerischer Rundfunk , NDR , Südwestrundfunk and arte .

Kowski lives in Weimar .
