The 2001/02 season was the 68th season of Serie A1 , the highest Italian ice hockey division . Champion was the first time in club history at all of the Milano Vipers .

mode

In the main round, each of the eight teams played a total of 42 games. The six best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs, in which the champions were played, with the first two placed directly qualifying for the playoff semifinals. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime, one point for a loss after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
