The Serie A 1970/71 was the 39th season in the top Italian football -Spielklasse of Lords. It began on September 27, 1970 and ended on May 23, 1971. As promoters, Varese FC , US Foggia and Catania Calcio from Serie B were added.
The season as champions ended the Inter Milan and thus became the successor to Cagliari Calcio . Inter qualified for the European Cup . AC Milan , SSC Napoli , Juventus Turin and FC Bologna qualified for the UEFA Cup . AC Turin secured participation in the European Cup Winners' Cup of the following year through Coppa Italia . Foggia, Lazio Rome and Catania had to relegate to Serie B.
