history

Solnice , which belonged to the Skuhrov domain, was first mentioned in a document in 1321, when the owner Jan von Meziříčí assigned pastoral tasks to the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star on the Zderaz . In 1359 the brothers Jan and Vznata from Meziříč on Skuhrov handed over the pastoral duties to the Prague White Cross Lords with the Red Heart . They built a monastery in Solnice, which was destroyed during the Hussite Wars . In 1386 Solnice received a number of privileges from the Meziříč on Skuhrov, including the elevation to the status of a town under Königgrätzer law and the exemption from robot service .

In 1456 Georg von Podiebrad broke Solnice from Skuhrov and incorporated the town into the Litice rule . His son Heinrich d. Ä. sold the properties to Wilhelm II of Pernstein in 1495 , from whom they passed to Jaroslav von Pernstein . From this the Glatzer pledgee Ernst von Bayern also acquired Solnice in 1556, who sold it two years later to the Benjamin von Vlknov family from Prague.

A fortress was built in 1558, which was rebuilt into a manorial inn in 1699 after the Kvasnice chateau was built, with the exterior design being preserved. After the Battle of White Mountain , the Benjamin lost their property. Solnice bought Heinrich von Dohna in 1624 . In 1699 the Prague Carmelite Order founded the Monastery of Mary of Victory .

The “Zámeček” inn was managed until 1952 and was the location for the 1948 film Hostinec U kamenného stolu by Josef Gruss . After 1990 the property was converted into a hotel and has been unused for sale for some time.
