Střítež (German Tritesch , also Zitesch ) is a municipality with 394 inhabitants (2006) in the Czech Republic . It is located six kilometers northwest of Kaplice and belongs to the Okres Český Krumlov . The land registry area is 838 ha. The seat of the municipality is Kaplice-nádraží.

geography

The place is located at 675 m above sea level. M. in the Poluška Mountains on the northern slope of the 748 m high Hájky. State road 157 runs north of Střítež between Český Krumlov and Besednice .

Neighboring towns are Zubčická Lhotka and Zvíkov in the north, Netřebice in the northeast, Kaplice-nádraží in the east, Rejty, ​​Osovský and Lannovy Domky in the southeast, Buchtice and Malý Chuchelec in the south, Horní Pláně in the southwest, Dolní Pláně in the west, and V. Háji and Zubčice in the north-west.

history

The first news about Trzietez comes from the year 1358.

In 1869, a train station for the Summerauerbahn was built six kilometers north of Kaplitz , as the city itself did not have a rail connection.

After 1945 Střítež was incorporated into Kaplice . Since January 1st, 1994 the place is again an independent municipality.

Attractions

  • Michaelskirche ( Kostel sv. Michala Archanděla ) was built in 1806 instead of a burnt down wooden church.

politics

The municipality is a member of the EU-funded organization Místní akční skupiny Pomalší ("Local Action Group Maltsch") based in Velešín.
