Zvíkov (German Zwickau ) is a municipality with 58 inhabitants (2006) in the Czech Republic . It is located eight kilometers northwest of Kaplice and belongs to the Okres Český Krumlov . The cadastral area is 293 ha.
geography
The place is located at 578 m above sea level. M. in the hill country west of the Maltsch . To the east of Zvíkov, the European route 55 / state route 3 runs between Velešín and Kaplice . Zvíkov is crossed by the Summerauerbahn , but has no train station.
Neighboring towns are U Nádraží and Bor in the north, Velešín and Chodeč in the northeast, Korbel, Hřeben and Dlouhá in the east, Výheň in the southeast, Netřebice in the south, Zubčická Lhotka in the west and Markvartice in the northwest.

history
The first news about the town of Zwiekow comes from the year 1371.
Until the 20th century the village was divided. In addition to Zvíkov, which formed part of the municipality Netřebice , there was also the part Chodeč-Zvíkov, which was part of the municipality Chodeč.
