history

Meinetschlag was founded by the gentlemen from Michelsberg ( Páni z Michalovic ) on Weleschin (Velešín) . They transferred a forest area to German colonists from Upper Austria for clearing and settlement. Meinetschlag is documented for the first time in a Latin document from July 26, 1360, which was issued in Meinetschlag. In it appointed the brothers Benesch II. And Johann III. von Weleschin the brothers Peter II. and Jodok I von Rosenberg as custodians of their property and as agents of their heirs. In 1380 Johann IV von Michelsberg took over the indebted properties and sold them on October 2, 1387 to Ulrich I von Rosenberg , who connected Meinetschlag with his dominions Weleschin and Beneschau . At that time Meinetschlag had two glassworks and the right to brew . After the death of the last Rosenberger, Peter Wok, in 1611, Meinetschlag came to the Schwanbergs , who, however, lost their possessions after the battle of the White Mountain because of their involvement in the Bohemian class uprising . Subsequently, Emperor Ferdinand II gave Meinetschlag to his general Bucquoy , who combined it with his rule Gratzen . One school is occupied for the year 1686.

After the abolition of patrimonial Meinetschlag formed an independent municipality that belonged to the Kaplitz district authority .

After the establishment of Czechoslovakia in 1918, Meinetschlag belonged to the political district of Kaplitz . It was subsequently given the official Czech place name Malonty . On August 28, 1928, a downpour with hail caused great damage. As a result of the Munich Agreement Malonty in 1938 connected the German empire with the back official German place name Meinetschlag and belonged until 1945 to the district Kaplitz in Gau Upper Danube . In 1939 Meinetschlag consisted of 689 inhabitants. After the Second World War Meinetschlag / Malonty fell back to Czechoslovakia; 1946 took place the expulsion of the German population. After the Communists came to power in 1948, Meinetschlag was on the so-called Iron Curtain due to its proximity to the border with Austria . As a result, numerous houses were left to decay. After the political upheaval of 1989, measures were taken to improve the infrastructure.
