Bohdalovice (German Podesdorf ) is a municipality in the Okres Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic . It is located about nine kilometers south of Český Krumlov and belongs to the Jihočeský kraj region .
geography
Bohdalovice is located in the Bohemia foreshore associated Českokrumlovská vrchovina ( Krummenauer hills ) on a high surface. The valley of the Strážný potok lies to the south .
Neighboring towns are Větřní in the north, Hašlovice ( Hoschlowitz ) in the east, Zátoň and Slubice ( Schlumnitz ) in the southeast, Suš ( Tusch ) in the southwest, Světlík in the west and Slavkov ( Lagau ) in the northwest.

The extinct settlements of Brettmühle, Březí ( Wuretzhöfen ), Bučí ( Putschen ), Dětošín ( Quitosching ), Hajmín ( Oberhaiming ), Podolí ( Unterheiming ), Skubice ( carpenters ) and Vadkov ( Neudörfl ) are located in the municipality .
The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts Bohdalovice u Větřní, Skubice, Slavkov u Českého Krumlova, Svéraz, Svéraz u Větřní and Větřní-Kaliště.

history
Bohdalovice was first mentioned in writing as Bogdalowicz in 1310 . It was the monastery provost Ottau that the monastery Ostrov belonged. After the provost's office went under during the Hussite Wars , the monastery property was acquired by the Rosenbergs , presumably due to a forgery of documents . You are proven as the owner of Bohdalovice / Podesdorf for the year 1483. It consisted of twelve farmers and a mill and remained associated with the Krumlov rule until the patrimonial rule was abolished . It was parish to Tweras ( Svéraz ). Potesdorf and 1789 Podesdorf are documented as place names for the year 1720 .
From 1850 Podesdorf was part of the municipality Hoschlowitz / Hašlovice in the Krumau district . After the establishment of Czechoslovakia in 1918, Podesdorf received the official Czech place name Bohdalovice . According to the Munich Agreement , Podesdorf / Bohdalovice belonged to the district of Krummau an der Moldau in the Reichsgau Oberdonau from 1938 to 1945 . As a result of World War II 1945/1946 took place the expulsion of the German population. From 1961 Bohdalovice belonged as a district to Větřní and from 1980 to Světlík . In 1990 Bohdalovice became an independent municipality for the first time in its history. It has had its own coat of arms since 1998.
