Matthias "Matze" Knop (born November 11, 1974 in Lippstadt ), also known as Supa Richie , is a German comedian , presenter , singer , actor and impersonator .
biography
Matze Knop grew up in Lippstadt, where his father worked as a youth coach for Borussia Lippstadt a . a. the Rummenigge brothers Michael and Karl-Heinz formed. His media career began with an apprenticeship as a radio editor at Radio Bielefeld . He also completed a journalism degree at the University of Dortmund .
Knop first became famous with the comedy character "Richie", with whom he was able to celebrate successes first on local radio stations and later on television. He achieved greater fame at the end of the 1990s when several comedy songs were placed in the German single charts . The trademark was a falsified language, as for example in his most successful title Supa Richie: "When you are almost crying and it smells like anger: Supa Supa Richie comes to you flew!" In 1998 he was awarded the Echo Music Prize of the German Phono Academy nominated in the Comedy category. At that time he was also active as a voice actor, so he spoke Adam Sandler in the film Waterboy .
At the beginning of the 2000s he was also active in television, in 2002 he hosted the comedy program Knops Spätshow on Sat.1 . He also played in the episode The Princess on the Pea - Spoiled for Choice royal of the series Die ProSieben Märchenstunde .
In 2007 he hosted the Clipfish TV show on RTL . He is also a frequent guest on the TV show Dings vom Dach on hr-fernsehen . In 2008, Knop and Oliver Pocher received the Sport Bild Award in the “TV Favorite of the Year” category. Until 2009 he hosted the radio show Peppers - Das Comedycamp on Radio NRW .
He also publishes a new episode of Knop's cult league every week on Bild online. In 2010 Matze Knop had his additional show Knops Kult-WM as Jürgen Klopp , Franz Beckenbauer , Louis van Gaal , Diego Maradona and others at Bild online for the soccer world championship 2010 in South Africa . In time for the World Cup, he released a cover version of Howard Carpendale's Hello Again called Pokal Again . Football career
