Canyon // SRAM Racing is a cycling team in women -

organization

Until 2007, the cell phone company T-Mobile was the team's name sponsor. Until July 5, 2008, the team drove under the name "Team High Road". After the conclusion of a new sponsorship agreement with the US leisure clothing company Columbia Sportswear , the team was called "Columbia Women". Various name changes followed, in particular with the arrival of the new main sponsor, the Taiwanese manufacturer of smartphones and PDAs HTC .

The team operator until the end of the 2011 season was the US company Highroad Sports Inc. , which managed the UCI ProTeam HTC-Highroad in men's cycling . In 2012 , the team was sponsored by the previous bike sponsor Specialized and the Canadian sportswear manufacturer lululemon and started under the name Team Specialized lululemon . There was also a change in the team operator: Kristy Scrymgeour , who previously worked for Highroad Sports Inc. in various functions, became a team representative according to the rules of the UCI for women's teams. The team is run by the new Swiss company Velociosports , which took over a large part of the drivers and other staff.

After the title sponsor Specialized got off at end of season 2014 the team after the sportswear company team manager Scrymgeour was Velocio and cycling component manufacturer SRAM in Velocio SRAM renamed. Cervélo became the new bike sponsor of the team, which rode under German license in 2015 . A crowdfunding campaign also contributed to the financing .

After the end of the 2015 season, Velociosports gave up the team. Parts of Velocio-SRAM were taken over by the newly founded Canyon SRAM Racing around the sporting director Ronny Lauke through its operating company Lauke Pro Radsport GmbH. The German bike manufacturer Canyon Bicycles became the new main sponsor .

For the 2020 season, the team, which Rolf Aldag joined as the new Sporting Director , received a license as a UCI Women's WorldTeam . In the same year the team became a founding member of UNIO , an association of team operators in women's cycling.
