The Toro Rosso STR10 is the tenth Formula 1 - racing cars the Toro Rosso . It will be used in the 2015 Formula 1 World Championship . It was presented to the public on January 31, 2015 at the Circuito de Jerez .

Technology and development

The STR10 is the successor to the STR9 . Although it is a further development, the vehicle is visually different from the previous model due to rule changes for the 2015 Formula 1 season, as the provisions in the area of the vehicle nose have been significantly changed. This protruded far forward over the front wing, similar to the Ferrari SF15-T and the McLaren MP4-30 .

In the last week of testing before the season, Toro Rosso competed with a completely revised vehicle. The most noticeable change was a much shorter nose, but significant changes were also made in the areas of cooling, suspension and underbody. The camera mounts on the front have also been changed, instead of being on the nose it is now on the side.

The STR10 is powered by the Renault Energy F1 2015 , a 1.6-liter V6 engine with a turbocharger .

Painting and sponsorship

The Toro Rosso STR10 is painted in a dark blue base color and has a gold nose. Due to the sponsor logos of Cepsa and Red Bull , the car has red accents. Cepsa advertises on the rear wing, Red Bull on the engine cover and side pods. Other major sponsors are NOVA Chemicals and Sapinda Holding .

driver

Toro Rosso entered the 2015 season with a new driver duo, Carlos Sainz junior and Max Verstappen made their Formula 1 debut.
