The Vogtsberg nature and landscape protection area is located in the municipality of Bonndorf in the Black Forest in the Waldshut district .

Characteristics

The protected areas were designated by ordinance of the Freiburg Regional Council of January 20, 2000. The NSG has a size of 88.2 hectares and is listed under the protected area number 3.255. The LSG is 22.7 hectares and has the protected area number 3.37.021. The CDDA code for the nature reserve is 319261 and corresponds to the WDPA ID .

Location and description

The nature and landscape protection area Vogtsberg is located in the municipality of Bonndorf in the Black Forest in the Gündelwangen district with a size of 88.1825 ha. The nature reserve mainly includes the top of the Vogtsberg south of the Gündelwangen district. It extends essentially between the B 315 in the east and the Gewann Mittelmatt and the former Lenzkirch-Bonndorf railway line in the west. In the north it ends near the Gündelwanger church and in the south at the community forest. The Vogtsberg is a shell limestone - witness mountain with a semi-open cultural landscape of forest, hedges, grasslands and meadows, fringing societies and moors.

Protection purpose

The main protection purpose of the nature reserve is the preservation and development of a unique Muschelkalk-Zeugenberg on the eastern edge of the Black Forest with a semi-open cultural landscape made up of forests, hedges, lean grasslands and meadows, fringing societies and bogs as

  • Habitat for a large number of rare, sometimes highly endangered animal and plant species,
  • diverse natural space of special character and beauty and
  • Area of ​​diverse communities that are dependent on extensive land use.

The main protection purpose of the landscape protection area is to secure the nature protection area against impairments and harmful influences from the environment as well as the realization of the protection purpose of the nature protection area according to § 3 of the regulation and the maintenance of an open cultural landscape with meadows, fields, forest edges and hedges, which as networking structures in the nature protection area occurring animal species for food acquisition or as breeding area.
