The 14th Congressional constituency of New York is a constituency for the United States House of Representatives in New York City represented by Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez .

The constituency includes the east of the Bronx with the districts of Morris Park , Parkchester , Pelham Bay and Throgs Neck as well as City Island and the north-central part of Queens with the districts of Astoria , College Point , East Elmhurst , Jackson Heights and Woodside . Prior to the redistricting for the 2012 election, most of this area belonged to the 7th Congressional constituency of New York .

From 2003 to 2013, the constituency comprised most of Manhattan's East Side , including the Museum Mile , Central Park and the area around the United Nations Headquarters , Roosevelt Island and, in Queens, the Astoria, Long Island City and Sunnyside neighborhoods .

In the 1970s, the area was the 18th Congressional electoral district of New York , and in the 1980s it was the 15th Congressional electoral district of New York .

In 1982 the area moved from Brooklyn to Staten Island and in 1992 to the East Side of Manhattan, which was part of the 17th Congressional constituency of New York for most of its existence . In 2012, the constituency moved to the former area of ​​the 7th Congressional constituency of New York in Queens and the Bronx.
