Stahnsdorf Office

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Stahnsdorf office was an electoral Brandenburg or royal Prussian domain office based in Alt Stahnsdorf , a district of the city of Storkow (Mark) . It was separated from the then large Storkow Office in 1653 . Later it was partly administered again with the Storkow Office, but remained an independent office . The official area was in what is now the Oder-Spree and Dahme-Spreewald districts (Land Brandenburg ). The Stahnsdorf Office was merged with the Buchholz Office in 1848 and de facto dissolved.

history

The Great Elector separated the Stahnsdorf office in 1653 from the then very large Storkow office and prescribed it to his wife Luise Henriette von Oranien . The Storkow office was formed from the property owned by the Biebersteiners , the last owners of the Storkow estate . Above all, the Brandenburg Elector Johann von Küstrin had expanded the Storkow office through acquisitions, but also through new foundations. The villages, which were now separated from the Storkow Office as the Stahnsdorf Office, were therefore only partly owned by the Biebersteiners.
