Billboard Touring Awards

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Billboard Touring Awards (officially: Billboard Touring Conference and Awards ) are a conference that has been honoring the best and most successful tours, festivals, sponsors and venues every year since 2004. The show usually takes place at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City . The conference usually lasts two days and the participants come from the music and event industries.

background

Many of the prices are based on data from Billboard , which includes concert revenues and other commercial influences. The magazine also appears as a sponsor of the conference / awards. Due to its commercial origin, the prizes are mainly awarded to financially successful artists. The winners in the “Legend of Live” and “Humanitarian Award” categories are based on the individual assessments of those involved and are not directly related to financial success.

Most categories have existed since 2004, others such as “Top Comedy Tour”, “Concert Marketing & Promotion” (2007 each) and “Eventful Fans' Choice” (2008) have been added through fan votes over the years.
