history

In the 12th century, a monastery was built in Castelletto , which today belongs to the Order of the Little Sisters of the Holy Family . The fact that the Roman "brunzonium" still bears some traces of the past can also be seen in another church from the 14th century that can be found in Assenza.

Today's Brenzone municipality is relatively young. It was gradually merged in the 20th century from the previously independent towns of Castello , Mamiga , Castelletto and Prada . The remaining towns, Castello and Castelletto, merged in 1955 and renamed themselves Castelletto di Brenzone in 1958 , which finally became Brenzone two years later . In 2014 the municipality was renamed Brenzone sul Garda .
