Britney Spears Live: The Femme Fatale Tour is a live DVD of the 2011 Femme Fatale tour by singer Britney Spears . The DVD was recorded on August 13th and 14th during the concerts at the Air Canada Center in Toronto. The concert was recorded in 2D and 3D and was broadcast on the American television station EPIX on November 12, 2011 in the USA. The BBC will broadcast the concert in Great Britain and Northern Ireland . The show is about a fictional story in which Spears plays a secret agent and features guest appearances by rapper Nicki Minaj or by Sabi , a newcomer from the USA. The DVD received mixed reviews from critics. Some praised the special and impressive stage, while others criticized Spears' dance and playback .
So far, the DVD has reached the top ten in the charts in more than ten countries and number one in Italy.

On August 12th, just two days before the first concert in Toronto, Spears wrote on her Twitter account that the shows in Toronto would be recorded by TV station EPIX and later released on live DVD. Just minutes after this news, the Epix homepage collapsed under the onslaught of visitors and Britney Spears became a trending topic on Twitter.
Epix Chairman and CEO Mark Greenberg said in an interview: "EPIX has been chosen to bring fans closer to their star and we are excited to bring this truly legendary American star to their large and passionate fan base."
It is Spears' first tour to air on American television since the 2004 Onyx Hotel Tour . The Femme Fatale Tour is one of the first tours ever to be shown in 3D.

The show, which is divided into five segments, tells a story in which Spears is a secret agent and is pursued by a stalker played by Rudolf Martin . The first section begins with “ Hold It Against Me ” and shows her escape from prison with other female inmates. The second segment shows dance numbers like “Big Fat Bass” ( feature with will.i.am ) or “Lace and Leather”. The third section offers an Egyptian-inspired show with fireworks and acrobatics, while the performance of "(Drop Dead) Beautiful" the singer Sabi has a guest appearance. The fourth segment, which takes place in London, includes the songs I'm a Slave 4 U and S&M (song) . The encore begins with a video clip in which Spears gags the stalker and continues with a Japanese-inspired performance of Toxic . The show ends with Till the World Ends and another guest appearance by Nicki Minaj , who sings her verse from the remix of the song.
Reviews
Jocelyn Vena from MTV writes: "Also pays attention to the guest appearances of Sabi and Nicki Minaj, beautifully designed costumes, an elaborate stage and a set list that even the greatest critics come by to praise them". Tanner Stransky from Entertainment Weekly gives the DVD a 2+ and says that: "The show is a pop music experience and a masterpiece of a tour."
