history
The place was first mentioned in 1195 as "Buchinclingin" in a document in which Count Eckehard and his wife Gisela donated a vineyard near this place to the cathedral in Würzburg. In 1361/64 it was mentioned in the castle count's Salbuch that “Beuchlinggen” is subordinate to the Vogtamt Rennhofen . Subsequently, the place was subordinate to the newly created office Emskirchen of the Margraviate Brandenburg-Kulmbach . In 1486 a " Puchklingen Castle " was mentioned for the first time. It originally belonged to Michael von Seckendorff and changed hands several times in the following years. Early 18th century it came to in Wilhermsdorf resident family of Hohenlohe .
Towards the end of the 18th century there were 17 properties in Buchklingen (little castles, old castle, tavern, farmhouse, sheep farm, 3 estates, 3 estates, 4 houses, 2 little houses). The high court and the village and community rulership exercised the rule Wilhermsdorf . The manor Buchklingen held the manorial rule over all properties.The manor still had manorial claims in Holzmühle (2), Kotzenaurach (20), Neidhardswinden (33).
In 1810, Buchklingen came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the community edict in 1811 that was tax district Buchklingen made to the timber mill , Kappersberg , Knochenhof , Kotzenaurach and brick cottage belonged. In 1813 the rural community Buchklingen was formed, which was congruent with the tax district with the exception of Kotzenaurach. In 1815 the rural community was split into
- Rural community Buchklingen with wood mill and Kotzenaurach, which was incorporated;
- Rural community of Kappersberg with a bone farm and a brickworks.
The rural community Buchklingen was under the jurisdiction of Wilhermsdorf until 1818 directly and only indirectly in administration and jurisdiction to the Markt Erlbach district court and in the financial administration to the Neustadt an der Aisch rent office , immediately from 1818. The voluntary jurisdiction and the police, however, held the Wilhermsdorf patrimonial court until 1839 . On November 9, 1824, Kotzenaurach formed its own rural community. From 1862, Buchklingen was administered by the Neustadt an der Aisch district office (renamed Neustadt an der Aisch district in 1938 ) and from 1856 by the Markt Erlbach rent office (1920–1929: Markt Erlbach tax office , from 1929: Neustadt an der Aisch tax office ). The jurisdiction remained until 1879 with the district court of Markt Erlbach, 1880–1959 district court of Markt Erlbach , from 1959 district court of Fürth . The municipality had an area of 2.166 km².
On January 1, 1972, the municipality of Buchklingen was dissolved as part of the regional reform: Holzmühle was incorporated into Markt Erlbach , Buchklingen to Emskirchen.
