The Deanery Freyung-Grafenau is one of 10 deaneries in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Passau .

It includes the Freyung-Grafenau district . It borders in the east on the Diocese of Budweis ( Czech Republic ) and the Diocese of Linz ( Austria ), in the south on the deanery Hauzenberg and in the west on the deanery Vilshofen , deanery Osterhofen and deanery Regen .

Forty parishes and two branches were merged in 2012 to form fourteen parish associations.

Dean is Kajetan Steinbeißer, pastor of the Grafenau Parish Association, Vice Dean Bruno Pöppel, pastor of the Waldkirchen Parish Association.
