Dmitri Borissowitsch Konyshev ( Russian Дмитрий Борисович Конышев ; born February 18, 1966 in Gorki ) is one of the most successful Russian cycling professionals .

In 1987 he received his first appointment to the Soviet national team of amateurs for the Colorado Tour in the USA . He was able to justify his nomination with a stage win. He was then registered for a start at the UCI Road World Championship , but retired from the race after a fall. As an amateur, he was able to convince in particular in stage races, where he won several daily stages and in 1987 at the Giro delle Regione and in 1988 at the Tour of Italy for amateurs.

Konyshev began his professional career in 1989 in the Italian-Russian Alfa Lum team. After numerous team changes, the two-time Russian champion (once Soviet champion) and four-time stage winner of the Tour de France ended his career with the small Swiss team LPR.Since 2007, he worked as the sporting director for the Tinkoff Credit Systems team, before joining the Katyusha team in 2009 changed.
