Douglas Costa de Souza (born September 14, 1990 in Sapucaia do Sul ) is a Brazilian soccer player who has been under contract with Juventus Turin since July 2017 .

Club career

youth

Douglas Costa was born in Sapucaia do Sul in the state of Rio Grande do Sul and started playing football in 2001 in the youth department of EC Novo Hamburgo . He played in the club for almost a year, after which he moved to the youth department of Grêmio Porto Alegre , where he went through several age groups until 2008 and during this time already aroused the interest of some top European clubs. In March 2008 he was named top scorer and best player of the tournament at the Punta Cup in Uruguay , where he finished second with the team .

Gremio Porto Alegre
