Kaviar Connection is a German TV film directed by Krystian Martinek in 1996 . It is the third episode of the crime series A strong team with Maja Maranow and Florian Martens in the leading roles.

The Berlin Detective Chief Commissioner Verena Berthold takes over after the murder of Russian businessman Samarof head of the special task force , which is the observation of the Russian Consul Valery Rosanof has taken on the task. When the former People's Police Officer Sputnik is attacked and seriously injured in his newly opened pub, his best friend and ex-colleague Otto Garber tries to track down the perpetrators. Garber is so involved in the attack on Sputnik that he does not even perform his duty , so that the jeweler Glachowski becomes another victim of the Russian mafia. Commissioner Berthold then comes under further pressure, which is even greater when the figure skater Tatiana Dodin is kidnapped a little later. Otto Garber explains to his colleague Verena Berthold about his negligence. He explains to her that he sees a connection between the attack on Sputnik and the Russian mafia. Garber and Berthold manage to free the figure skater Dodin together.
