The Evangelical Lutheran Deanery Fürstenfeldbruck is one of the twelve deaneries of the Munich and Upper Bavaria church district of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria . Since July 1, 2018, Dr. Markus Ambrosy acting dean.

Geography and history

The Protestant deanery district of Fürstenfeldbruck comprises 12 parishes in the districts of Fürstenfeldbruck , Starnberg and Munich , i.e. on the western edge of the metropolis of Munich.

The communities are both close to the city and in the middle of the most beautiful landscape with forests and meadows, rivers and lakes. This shapes the almost 41,000 people who belong to these parishes and their way of life: Many work in Munich and use the cultural offers of the big city, but at the same time live with their families in the countryside, which is associated with high leisure and recreational value. These suburbs of Munich have developed dynamically in the decades after the Second World War - also due to refugees and displaced persons. The growth of the parishes also continues.
