Oberliga Nordost 2005/06
Regionalliga 2006/07

The 2006/07 season of the Oberliga Nordost was the 16th season of the Oberliga Nordost and the 13th as the fourth-highest division in Germany. As in the 2005/06 preseason , the two seasons (North and South) consisted of 16 teams each. The promotion and relegation regulations remained the same as in the previous season. Accordingly, the first placed in the two seasons rose to the regional league . In addition, there were two permanent relegation games per season as well as two relegation games between the third to last of the two seasons to determine a fifth relegation in the association leagues or in the state leagues (in Saxony and Thuringia).

North season

This season there was no relegated regional league in the northern season, so this was only reinforced by the three promoted from the association leagues. From the Berlin League , Lichterfelder FC qualified for the Oberliga, SV Germania 90 Schöneiche came from the Brandenburg Association League and FC Schönberg 95 rose from the Association League Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania after only one year of absence .

SV Babelsberg 03 was the autumn champions of the northern season with an eleven point lead ahead of Tennis Borussia Berlin with 31 points and FC Hansa Rostock II with 28 points. MSV Neuruppin wintered on the relegation ranks with eight points and FV Motor Eberswalde with ten points. At the halfway point of the season, BFC Dynamo was on the relegation spot with the same points , nine goals ahead of Eberswalde.

At the end of the season, Babelsberg's lead had shrunk to six points, but the championship was at no point in the season. Since the second game day, the Potsdam team have been in first place. Thus, the club was able to celebrate promotion to the regional league, after having finished third twice and once second in the last three seasons.

The FC Schoenberg qualified Although sporty for the following season 2007/08 , applied for this but for financial reasons, no license and was made the first relegated. The SV Yeşilyurt Berlin benefited from this , who actually played in the relegation against the third from last of the southern season to remain in the league and now reached this directly. The MSV Neuruppin , instead of Yeşilyurts in the relegation , instead of relegation directly.

Relegation

The relegation games for relegation were played by MSV Neuruppin from the north and FC Carl Zeiss Jena II from the south. After the 0-0 in the first leg in Neuruppin and the 2-2 in the second leg in Jena, MSV Neuruppin would have managed to stay in the league due to the away goals rule , but after the season the club decided not to participate in the 2007/08 league . As a result, the Thuringians could still celebrate relegation.
