It was part of the WTA Tour 2009 as a tournament in the International category . It took place at the same time as the Generali Ladies Linz 2009 in Linz , Austria from October 12th to 18th, 2009.

In the singles, Samantha Stosur won against Francesca Schiavone 7: 5, 6: 1 and in the doubles Chuang Chia-jung / Lisa Raymond against Chanelle Scheepers / Abigail Spears 6: 2, 6: 4.
