Hellerau / Wilschdorf with Rähnitz is a statistical district in the Dresden district of Klotzsche . It is located north of the city center on the Neustadt side of the Elbe.

location

The statistical district of Hellerau / Wilschdorf is surrounded in the north by the Radeburg district of Volkersdorf and Weixdorf , in the east by Klotzsche , in the south by Hellerberge and in the west by the Moritzburg district of Boxdorf .

The boundaries of the district are formed by the A4 at the Dresden-Hellerau junction, the northern boundary of the Heller landscape , the city's outer boundary, the boundary of the airport grounds and sections of Boltenhagener and Hendrichstraße and Klotzscher and Moritzburger Weg. Hellerau / Wilschdorf lies outside the Elbe valley on the plateaus along the Lusatian Fault .

The district of Rähnitz , which is also located in the Hellerau district , is also included in the statistical district of Hellerau / Wilschdorf. The most important streets in the district are Radeburger Strasse, a one-way and arterial road in the direction of Radeburg , Wilschdorfer Landstrasse, which as state road 81 is the motorway feeder for Meißen , Coswig and Weinböhla , and the street Mühlweg / Ludwig-Kossuth-Strasse. The A4 also runs through the district . At the Dresden-Nord motorway triangle, there is a connection to the A13 in the direction of Berlin ; the B170 and B97 federal highways also begin at the Dresden-Hellerau and Dresden-Flughafen junctions .

The terminus of tram line 8 is in Hellerau . There are also several city and intercity bus routes through the district, which has a total of 9 tram and 29 bus stops.
