Herman Frazier

Herman Ronald Frazier (born October 29, 1954 in Philadelphia ) is a former American sprinter and Olympic champion .

In the 1976 Olympic Games won in Montreal Frazier the bronze medal in 400-meter dash , behind the Cuban Alberto Juantorena (gold) and his compatriot Fred Newhouse (silver) as well as the team gold medal in the 4 x 400-meter relay along with Benny Brown , Newhouse and Maxie Parks in front of the teams from Poland (silver) and Germany (bronze).

After his sporting career, Frazier worked as a sport functionary in the National Olympic Committee (USOC) of the USA , of which he has been Vice President since 1996, most recently as head of the delegation at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
