Demetrius Pinder

Demetrius Pinder ( Demetrius Rashad Pinder ; born February 13, 1989 in Grand Bahama ) is a Bahamian sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .

In 2011 he was NCAA indoor champion and reached the semi- finals at the World Athletics Championships in Daegu . At the World Indoor Championships in 2012 in Istanbul, he won silver.

Pinder celebrated his most important success at the 2012 Olympic Games in London . Together with Chris Brown , Michael Mathieu and Ramon Miller , he set a new national record with the Bahamian season in 2: 56.72 minutes. The quartet surprisingly secured the gold medal in front of the favored US team.

Demetrius Pinder is trained by Pat Henry. He is studying at Texas A&M University , is mentored by Charisma Sports Management and sponsored by Nike .
