Otis Harris
Otis Harris (born June 30, 1982 in Edwards , Mississippi ) is an American athlete and relay Olympic champion .
His greatest international successes to date were at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens . In the 400 meter run , he won the silver medal. The triple US triumph in this discipline was completed by Jeremy Wariner (gold) and Derrick Brew (bronze). In the 4 x 400 meter relay race , he won gold with the US team.
Even in his school days at Hinds High School , he achieved success in running competitions. He won the US Junior Olympiad in the 400-meter run twice, won the Footlocker Outdoor Championships and the Golden West Invitational . In 2000 he moved to the University of South Carolina . During this time he won the 2002 NCAA championships in the 4-by-400-meter relay race and in 2003 in the 400-meter run.
