The Ivorian U-20 national soccer team is a selection of Ivorian soccer players. It is subject to the Fédération Ivoirienne de Football and represents it internationally at the U-20 level , for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations or at the U-20 African Championships and U-20 World Cups .
The team has qualified so far for five U-20 world championships ( 1977 , 1983 , 1991 , 1997 and 2003 ), but in each of which they were eliminated in the preliminary round.
In addition, the team was runner-up in Africa three times ( 1983 , 1991 and 2003 )
