The county Uckerath was a circle in the relevant time or to the Prussian Province of Jülich-Cleves-Berg belonging Region of Cologne .

It was formed in 1816 from the Canton of Hennef, which previously belonged to the Grand Duchy of Berg (in the arrondissement of Mülheim am Rhein , Département Rhine ) and the Canton of Eitorf .

From 1817 the Heymershof in Hennef was the seat of the district administration. In 1820 the district was dissolved and its territory was merged with that of the Siegburg district. The Uckerather district administrator Franz Joseph Scheven was then district administrator of the Siegburg district. The Heymershof also remained the district administrator's seat until 1838.
