The women's javelin throw at the 1995 World Athletics Championships was held on August 6th and 8th, 1995 in Gothenburg's Ullevi Stadium .

World champion was the Belarusian Olympic runner-up from 1992 and World Cup third from 1993 Natallja Schykalenka . She won Felicia Țilea before the Romanian European Championship third in 1994 . Bronze went to Mikaela Ingberg from Finland .

qualification

31 participants competed in two groups for the qualification round. The qualification distance for the direct entry into the final was 62.50 m. Three athletes exceeded this mark (highlighted in light blue). The final field was filled with the nine next placed athletes to twelve throwers (highlighted in light green). So finally 59.52 m had to be achieved for the final.
