Detailed memorial texts

  1. Monument
text The three-sided courtyard Altcoschütz 1 - the so-called Ulmenhof - was built after the great fire in 1829 in a regional and time-typical building method. The historic building stock of the former farm - consisting of the stable house, side building and remains of the barn - is supplemented by parts of the courtyard entrance. The two-storey, gable-facing residential barn with a half-hipped roof and two-tier half-timbering on the upper floor and both gables is butt angled between the living and barn parts. The sandstone walls on the massive ground floor reveal the date "1829" in the apex of the front door lintel. The kinking back side is younger (after 1887) than the main building, but was carried out analogously. The two-story side building is located opposite and to the east of the stable house. The original use in a barn and a pull-out part can be seen from the arched opening of a side passage from the square into the courtyard. The half-timbered building has a massive ground floor and a brick gable facing away. The keystone of the finely profiled door frame dates from 1830 (Roman numerals). The half-hip roofs had bat dormers at the time of construction, the crawler dormers on the extension of the residential stable house dates from around the 1930s. The courtyard is closed to the south by the remains of a barn, of which the foundation walls and the basement are still of monument value. According to the measurement table, these could still come from the layout of the courtyard before 1829. The largely authentically preserved courtyard complex in its grown structure is vivid testimony to the rural construction and way of life at the time it was built on the spot and in the region. The historical building stock of the Dreiseithof documents the structural development, characteristics and function of a rural economy in the past. The courtyard thus embodies an important informative value on the local history and building history. In addition, Altcoschütz 1 / 1a is of great importance in terms of settlement history due to its location at the entrance and thus a particularly characteristic part of the old Coschützer town center, which can still be experienced today as a dead end-like extended hamlet (LfD / 2017).
  2. Monument text
The two-sided courtyard Altcoschütz 3 was rebuilt after the great fire in 1829 in a regional and time-typical building method. The listed building stock of the former farm includes the stable house and the courtyard wall with gate and walled keystones. The two-storey, gable-side stable house with a cantilevered gable roof and double-bar framework on the upper floor, the facing gable plastered, sandstone walls on the massive ground floor, roof with bat dormers during construction. In the plastered natural stone wall, segment arched door made of natural stone, and keystones set into the plaster - one with the date »1745«, the other with crossed sixes (winemaker's knife), keystones surely come from the grounds of the courtyard before 1829. The farm complex, which has largely been preserved in its grown structure, is a testimony to the rural construction and way of life at the time it was built on the spot and in the region. The historical building stock of the two-sided courtyard exemplifies the structural development, characteristics and function of a rural economy in the past. The courtyard thus embodies an important informative value on the local history and building history. In addition, Altcoschütz 3, as part of the old Coschütz town center, which can still be experienced today as a round hamlet extended in the manner of a dead end, is of great importance for the history of the settlement (LfD / 2017).
