List of tributaries to Hudson Bay
The list of rivers to Hudson Bay contains the major tributaries to Hudson Bay with James Bay and Ungava Bay of the Arctic Ocean . The total area of the catchment area is about 3.9 million km³ with an average discharge of about 30,900 m³ / s and includes sub-areas of the five Canadian provinces of Alberta , Saskatchewan , Manitoba , Ontario and Québec , the two territories of Northwest and Nunavut , as well as four US - States ( Montana , South Dakota , North Dakota, and Minnesota ). The two main tributaries are La Grande Rivière in Québec and Nelson River in Manitoba, both of which have an average discharge of over 3000 m³ / s.
