List of incumbent German state transport ministers

State Transport Minister direct the each of the in the German states of Transportation responsible Land ministry.

Within the framework of cooperative federalism , the transport ministers of the federal states work together in the Transport Ministers' Conference (VMK). The chairmanship of the VMK changes every two years; the current presidency is Hamburg.

Since the responsibility for the transport system in Bremen is divided between two departments, the VMK currently consists of 17 people, five of them women. Four ministers belong to the SPD, five from the Greens, four from the CDU, two from the FDP, one from the CSU and one from the Left.
