List of the incumbent German state building ministers

State Minister of Construction lead in the German states that each of the urban planning and the construction and housing competent state ministry .

The department is not represented by its own ministry in all countries, but in some cases is also part of the respective interior, transport or finance ministries.

Within the framework of cooperative federalism , the building ministers of the federal states work together in the building ministers' conference ( ARGEBAU for short ), whose meetings are also regularly attended by the responsible federal minister . There is also an independent Ministerial Conference for Spatial Planning ( MKRO for short ).

Acting state building ministers of the German federal states

Of the current 16 state building ministers, eight are women and eight are men. Eight incumbents belong to the Union parties ( CDU / CSU ), four from the SPD , two from the Greens and two from the Left .

Thomas Webel (CDU, since April 2011 in Saxony-Anhalt ) has the longest term of office of the current state building minister .
