  102. In 1995 the then director of the Whitney Museum, David Ross, came to Frankfurt and invited the MMK to a cooperation. Jean-Christophe Ammann asked Lauter for a concept and for coordination with New York. Lauter sifted through the archives and depots of the Whitney Museum in 1995/96 and developed the concept for both exhibitions based on work dialogues. He coordinated the further organization in coordination with Wilard Holmes, Deputy Director of the Whitney Museum, as well as the fundraising for Frankfurt. The work dialogues of the Frankfurt exhibition can be read in the catalog text by Lauter, in the Leporello and in brochures for the exhibition (MMK library). All concepts and documents can be viewed in the MMK archive.
