Marija Musytschuk ( Ukrainian Марія Музичук ; in the West mostly reproduced according to the English transcription as Maria Muzychuk , German also Maria Musitschuk ; born September 21, 1992 in Stryj ) is a Ukrainian chess player . She has been the Women's Grand Master (WGM) since 2007 , received the FIDE title International Master (IM) in 2008 and won the Women's World Championship in 2015, which also made her Grand Master (GM).

Since 2001, Marija Musytschuk has represented Ukraine at the World Championships and European Youth Championships for girls of various ages, winning nine medals. In 2002 she became European U10 female champion. In 2008 at the Junior World Championships in Gaziantep she was second. In November 2010 she was 15th in the world rankings for girls.

Her older sister Anna Musychuk is also a chess player.

She fulfilled the standards for both the WGM title and the IM title in April 2006 at the European Women's Championship in Kuşadası and the Serbian Women's Team Championship in 2007. Other individual successes include a second place in Lviv and the 2006 championship Ukraine under 20 years, second in Wroclaw in 2007 and 2008 the championship of Ukraine under 20 years. World Championship for Women
