It belongs to the arrondissement of La Rochelle , the canton of La Jarrie and is a member of the commune association La Rochelle Agglomération . The inhabitants are called Rogatien (ne) s (also: Montroyen (ne) s ).

geography

Montroy is about ten kilometers east of La Rochelle in the historic Aunis countryside . Montroy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bourgneuf in the north, Sainte-Soulle in the north and northeast, Saint-Médard-d'Aunis in the east and southeast, Clavette in the southwest and Saint-Rogatien in the west.
