Peru took part in the 1960 Summer Olympics in the Italian capital of Rome with a delegation of 31 male athletes in eight competitions in three sports.
It was Peru's fifth participation in the Summer Olympics since 1900 .
The youngest athlete was football player Eloy Campos at 18 years and 88 days , and the oldest athlete was shooter Pedro Puente (53 years and 116 days).
