Cameroon took part inthe 2012 Olympic Games in London . It was the 13th participation in the Summer Olympics. The Comité Olímpico Uruguayo nominated 33 athletes in nine sports.

The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the wrestler Annabel Laure Ali .

On August 7, 2012, Cameroon's head of delegation, David Ojong, announced that seven athletes had disappeared from the Olympic village. In addition to the entire boxing team (Essomba, Adjoufack, Abdon, Mendouo and Ambomo), the soccer goalkeeper Drusille Ngako and the swimmer Paul Edingue Ekane have disappeared. According to media reports, the athletes are likely to go into hiding to stay in Europe.
