Ostrovany (until 1948 Slovak "Ostroviany"; Hungarian Osztópatak, until 1902 Osztrópataka ) is a municipality in Okres Sabinov near Prešov in northeastern Slovakia . The community is 318 m above sea level and is 5.853 km² in size.
history
It was first mentioned in a document in 1248.
Sons and daughters of the church
The currently best-known citizen is probably the nude model Kyla Cole , who was born here and uses her popularity to maintain an orphanage in the neighboring village of Šarišské Michaľany .
