history
There was a Slavic castle in the 10th and 11th centuries in what is now the municipality. The current place was mentioned for the first time in 1307 Solmus , seven years later the name Touthsolyumus appears . Loosely translated, the name means "Slovak Falconer Village" after the first inhabitants who settled here. In 1427 15 porta were recorded in a tax register. At that time the place was owned by a certain Nikolaus Apród , who had a country house built here. Later the village was owned by families like Roskoványi , Doby , Antal and Szirmay . In 1787 the village had 34 houses and 251 inhabitants, in 1828 there were 47 houses and 370 inhabitants who were employed as farmers and forest workers. There was massive emigration in the second half of the 19th century.
The place in Sáros County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary until 1918 and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia. In the first Czechoslovak Republic, the main sources of income for the population did not change. After the Second World War, part of the population worked in industrial plants in cities such as Sabinov, Prešov and Košice .
