Přimda (German Pfraumberg ) is a town with 1,544 inhabitants in the Czech Republic . It is located in the south-western part of the Okres Tachov , 700 meters above sea level, under the mountain of the same name (848 m above sea level), 10 km from the border with Germany .

Dálnice 5 / Europastraße 50 runs 2 km north of the city . The next German town is Waidhaus (Upper Palatinate).

history

The history of the town is closely related to that of the Přimda Castle . The settlement was on an important trade route from Prague to Nuremberg. It was probably built shortly after the castle was founded. In 1331 the town acquired its first privileges. In 1675 bought the Novohradští von Kolowrat family , who united it with the nearby estate in Velké Dvorce (German Groß Meierhöfen ).

After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Empire and until 1945 belonged to the Tachau district .

In 1946 the German-speaking population was expelled .
