After Total Recall 2070 , The Man in the High Castle and Minority Report, Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams is the fourth television series to be based on material by Philip K. Dick .
Originally planned as a co-production between AMC and Channel 4 , AMC left after a short time. As a result, Amazon Video announced in February 2017 that it had bought the broadcast rights for the United States. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television with Ronald D. Moore , Michael Dinner and Bryan Cranston as executive producers .
The film was shot in various locations in the United Kingdom and the United States, including a. April to July 2017 in Chicago and other parts of Illinois . Other locations were London and Bournemouth in Dorset and Wrexham in Buckinghamshire .
