Preußenhalde

The Preußenhalde is a mine dump of the Prussian colliery in the Horstmar district of Lüner, about 85 m above sea level .

The dump was created by the backfilling of tailings and flotation sludge on the area of ​​the former Prussian mine between 1875 and 1929. It is considered a burning dump (as of 2012).

As part of the Lünen State Horticultural Show in 1996, the heap was ecologically prepared and released to the public. Seepark Lünen and the Datteln-Hamm Canal are located northeast of the heap .
