The road branches off east of the town Rožnov pod Radhoštěm (Rosenau under the Radhoscht) from the Silnice I / 35 ( European route 442 ) to the north, crosses the Moravian-Silesian Beskids , continues through Frenštát pod Radhoštěm (Frankstadt under the Radhoscht) and Kopřivnice (Nesselsdorf) to Příbor (Freiberg in Moravia). By 2010 it was led beyond Ostrava to Bohumín (Oderberg) and from there to the Polish border.
