Sinop is a province of Turkey on the Black Sea coast . Its capital is the city of Sinop .

The province has 219,733 inhabitants (as of 2018) on an area of ​​5,718 km². It borders in the west on the province of Kastamonu , in the east on the province of Samsun and in the south on the province of Çorum . In the north, the Black Sea forms the natural border.
