Sinopoli is an Italian city in the metropolitan city of Reggio Calabria in Calabria with 1955 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

Location and dates

Sinopoli is 47 km northeast of Reggio Calabria on the northern slope of Aspromonte in the valley of the river Vasi . The neighboring municipalities are Cosoleto , Oppido Mamertina , Roccaforte del Greco , Roghudi , San Procopio , Sant'Eufemia d'Aspromonte and Scilla . The place consists of the two districts Sinopoli Inferiore and Sinopoli Vecchio.

Attractions

In the district of Sinopoli Vecchio stands the parish church from the 17th century, rebuilt in a style similar to the Renaissance . Inside there is a statue of the Madonna from 1508. In the parish church of Sinopoli Inferiore there are marble statues from the 16th and 17th centuries.
